VaLynnsia was born and raised in East Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas in 2019 and her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling (Mental Health Counseling) from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2023. She currently lives in Longview with her daughter. VaLynnsia is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas (#94985), under the supervision of Megan Korthals, LPC-S.
When she’s not in the office, VaLynnsia enjoys being outdoors, reading a good book, sipping tea or coffee, eating street tacos—or doing all of the above at once.

As a counselor, I aim to offer a safe and judgment-free space where you can shed the “mask,” be fully seen, and grow into who you’re meant to be. I believe you are the expert on your life, and I emphasize open, honest communication throughout the counseling process. I often remind my clients: “Keep it real, so you can heal.”
I will never impose my personal beliefs on you—I respect your values, identity, and worldview. My work is deeply influenced by my experience supporting children and teens through behavior and educational challenges, and I am honored to walk with clients through their unique stories, transitions, and healing journeys.

$85/session
Can accept HSA/FSA and assist with out-of-network insurance reimbursements.
